IPL 2020 to Start on September 19, final on November 10

The most-awaited league tournament Indian Premier League (IPL) will start on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the final on November 8, league’s Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed the news on saying the board was awaiting permission from the Indian government and would make an official statement after the Governing Council meeting in the coming week..

The postponement of the men’s T20 World Cup cleared the path for IPL 2020. Initially IPL 2020 was suspended until further notice by BCCI due to Corona Virus (COVID-19) Concerns all over the world.

“IPL, in all likelihood, will start on September 19 (Saturday) and the final will be held on November 8 (Sunday). It is a 51-day window which will suit the franchises as well as the broadcasters and other stakeholders,”  a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of possibility on Thursday night.
