The last two innings I wasn’t hitting it too well, but today I felt it coming off the middle, watched it nice and early, bought myself that extra split second to make decisions and that’s when I need to cash in. When you do get on top of the bowler, you have to take him down. This is the best crowd in the world, I love playing here(Bangalore).”

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and invited delhi daredevils batsmen to start their inning, but the start for DD was not up to the mark as their opening batsmen Jason Roy and Gautam Gambhir got out by scoring only 5 and 3 runs respectively. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant gave the momentum what Delhi needed as both the batsman scored their half century. It was Rishabh Pant’s inning which helped delhi daredevils to reach the score 174 runs, at one point which were looking around 150 runs. Rishabh Pant scored 85 runs from 48 balls by hitting 6 fours and 7 sixes in his inning.
An uphill task by delhi daredevils bowlers were waiting as they had to defend 174 runs against RCB batsman at their home ground and they started by doing so as RCB lost both openers Quinton de Kock(18) and Manan Vohra (1) in early overs. Again the RCB boat was on the shoulders of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers and they scored too. Virat Kohli got out on the bowling of Harshal Patel with a stunning catch taken by Trent bolt which is being labelled as catch of the tournament. At one end AB de Villiers kept scoring runs and was not out on 90 runs in 39 balls only by smashing 10 fours and 5 big sixes.
