Initially Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain won the toss and called Rajasthan Royals to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane hes been in form now a days and so did he today by scoring some quick runs before getting out on 36 runs of 20 balls. Chahal was the only bowler who bowled well and took 2 wickets but it was Sanju Samson who murdered RCB bowling unit by hitting 75 runs in the last 4 overs as he scored 92 runs which included 10 huge sixes and set the big target of 218 runs in 20 overs quota.

Coming to the chase Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen required something special to beat Rajasthan Royals. Virat Kohli and Q de Kock were looking good, specially the chase master Kohli who scored 57 of 30 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes but Rajasthan Royals spinners did a commendable job specially Shreyas Gopal who took the wicket of Kohli and ABD both in successive overs. In the end Washington Sundar – 35(19) and Mandeep Singh – 47(25) grabbed some quick runs but it was not enough as Rajasthan Royals won by 19 runs.
